HONOLULU (AP) – A Honolulu man convicted of second-degree murder in the death of a 23-month-old boy who was thrown from a freeway overpass has been sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole.

Charges dropped against elderly drug suspect
Drug and child endangerment changes against a Silex grandmother have been dropped. Sixty-nine-year-old Eva L. Fink of rural Silex had been accused of possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child after a Feb. 5, 2009, law enforcement raid at her home.

Governor Beebe Announces Intent To Grant Pardons
LITTLE ROCK – Governor Mike Beebe today announced his intent to grant five pardons. An additional 37 clemency requests were denied and 54 had no action taken upon them. These include requests from both inmates and non-inmates.
