Accused killer faces new charges
Last week, Samuel Blue Lint reportedly asked a fellow inmate at the Minnehaha County Jail to kill his girlfriend by burning down her house as she slept inside. Last Tuesday, on Lint’s 19th birthday, that inmate turned him in. Lint, already awaiting trial on a murder charge that has the potential to carry a death sentence, is now charged with solicitation to commit murder, arson and robbery.

City man faces drug charges
ERWIN — A Johnson City man was arrested Friday in Unicoi County when he was found to be in possession of marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia after being stopped due to a headlight being out, according to the Unicoi County Sheriff’s Department.
